Who

As ubiquitous as she is emaciated, Chantecaille is a social fixture and, along with her mother, the owner of a cosmetics company that bears the family name.

Backstory

Olivia's mother is Sylvie Chantecaille, a former Estée Lauder beauty expert who was creative director of the company's Prescriptives line. (Sylvie's claim to fame is that she made Prescriptives the first to develop foundations for people of different races). Raised in New York, Olivia studied art history at NYU and in 1997 she joined forces with her mom to start a line of cosmetics, Chantecaille Beauté. Now the company's creative director, she and her mother produce a host of products—foundations, perfumes, lotions—and also operate the Chantecaille salon/spa in Barneys. Tall and dangerously thin, Olivia is also a social staple and makes regular appearances at events around town.

Personal

Chantecaille was the longtime girlfriend of furniture heir Eric Villency, but the two broke up in 2005, a few months after Page Six published an email suggesting that their very public relationship was just a scheme to generate publicity for their respective companies. She's now engaged to Ren Grady, a banker. She lives in SoHo and spends weekends at her mom's house in East Hampton.

No joke

When the self-effacing, modest-to-a-fault Chantecaille was asked in an April 2004 interview, "How good-looking are you on a scale of one to ten?" she replied, "Can I say 11?"
